A girl that knows how to wear shirts

She has a stunning voice, magic eyes and a strongly notable style. A young girl(she’s only 22) that  it’s going to be considered as the next big thing over the next years has a name ”Lianne La Havas”. But i’m not the only one caracterizing her as the new indie diamond!

She released her first album this month with excellent reviews from the Guardian. She was also nominated for BBC’s ”the Sound of 2012” , while her first EP was released 5 months ago.

She grew up in London and constitutes a Greek-Jamaican mixture. Her influences are quite interesting and it’s been only 5 years since she learned how to play the guitar. Needless to say that her voice is remarkably fresh and over the last week i’m listening to her songs fanatically!! Give special attention and affection to ”No Room for Doubt”, ”Forget’‘(which is my personal favorite), ”Age’’ and ”Don’t wake me up”.

Her style is contemporary/college-like/British, as a girl of her age would be dressed like. I’m astonished by her stylish collection of shirts which have considerable mentions from the 20s , 80s and the 70s.

You can take a good taste of Lianne’s style at the link below.

Enjoy :)

Morrissey-To me you are a work of Art

And then here it comes, a day that u can’t stop listening to Morrissey and N.Cave,

”some times u wanna puke and some times to me u are a work of art and i will give you my heart”. Jesus Christ Super Star! How so not inspired and melodramatic can these lyrics be?? An absolute disaster. -Sometimes i’m wondering how dare whole generations to grow up with that kind of songs(At this point i’d like to stress that i appreciate Morissey’s music)-

But still i’m refering to you honey… You wanna cry in front of your screen and hug it with passion and abnegation. It’s quite fair to feel stressed all these days of work at the office or at the college that you feel perfectly exhausted, just by not doing anything.

However, the worst thing is probably the fact that you are sharing your melancholia with other -sometimes forgotten- souls/creatures in every social media you might have been member of. Which i believe that it is….

…an outright Madness! You are tagging them, they are commenting on your posts/tweets/and so on. You seem unstoppable as you keep sharing your experiences and your feelings from an unpleasant day of your life, you keep saying absolutely emo phrases and sharing insignificant and indifferent thoughts with the whole UNIVERSE. The one man show goes own for hours-days-months. And that keeps me wonder…aren’t you tired of all this overexposure??

Honestly dear, have you ever thought of just taking some days off?!?!? I’m a social media fan or shall i say HUGE fan, but you should keep on the midway.

That’s the wiser quote for you today darling….Keep walking on the middle line of life. Avoid the exaggerations and find yourself.
